First introduced in 1992, the Yacht-Master is the second timepiece to be inspired by the nautical environment. After the Submariner released in 1954, this model comes as an evolution in a more luxury way with a gold model, larger indexes, bigger case and bold bezel – this is the reference 16628. It has been a success along the nautical enthusiast and those looking for a chic and sporty model. This is the only Oyster Professional model, and still today, to be available in three different sizes as : 37mm, 40mm and 42mm.

In 1999, Rolex released a stainless steel version with a 40mm monobloc case, it was then the beginning of new and precious materials for the Yacht-Master.

During the BaselWorld 2007, Rolex revealed the Yacht-Master II, a larger case of 44mm and a brand new automatic chronograph movement was developed : the Caliber 4161. The stunning Ring Command Bezel controls the programable countdown. A new feature inspired by the nautical, sailing and regatta spirit.

These models are iconic models of the famous Swiss watchmaker along with the Daytona – GMT Master II – Submariner – Sea-Dweller – Sky-Dweller and many mores.
