In 2016, Audemars Piguet launched a new line of the iconic Royal Oak in frosted gold.
The technique of hammering, also known as the Florentine technique give the surface a textured, almost frozen look, with tiny facets shining like diamonds with the play of light. The technique was popular by the famous jewelry designer Carolina Bucci.
The first launch saw the frosted gold pieces in white gold and pink gold.
